The price covers all accommodation in teahouses along the route, all meals during the trek (breakfast, lunch, dinner), an experienced licensed trekking guide, a porter to carry your bag (up to 10 kg), all necessary trek permits (ACAP and TIMS card), and transfers between Pokhara and the trailhead. International flights and travel insurance are not included.

Is this trek safe for beginners and how fit do I need to be?

The trek is rated Moderate. No technical climbing is required, but 4 consecutive days of uphill hiking to nearly 3,700m demands a reasonable base fitness level. You should be comfortable walking 5–7 hours a day on steep mountain trails. Altitude awareness is important — early symptoms of altitude sickness (headache, nausea) should be reported to your guide immediately.

How does the 4-day itinerary work and how do I reach the trailhead?

You travel from Pokhara to the trailhead village (typically Jhinu Danda or Chhomrong area) by vehicle or a combination of vehicle and walk. The 4 days typically follow: Day 1 drive and hike to Chhomrong, Day 2 descend to Bamboo and ascend to Dovan, Day 3 push up through the Modi Khola valley deep into the Annapurna Sanctuary, Day 4 descend and return to Pokhara. Daily hiking is 5–7 hours.

What is the best season for this short ABC trek?

March–May (spring) and October–November (autumn) are the prime windows — stable weather, clear skies, and rhododendrons in bloom in spring. December and January are cold at altitude (below -10C at night near the sanctuary) but manageable with proper gear. Monsoon (June–September) brings heavy rain and trail leeches and is not recommended for this route.
