Nepal Honeymoon Guide

Nepal is one of Asia's most romantic destinations — and most couples don't know it. Imagine waking at 5am to a private helicopter rising over the clouds to circle Everest at sunrise, then landing for breakfast beside a glacial lake. Or a slow dawn boat ride across mirror-calm Phewa Lake with the entire Annapurna range turning pink above you. Nepal delivers storybook moments at a fraction of the cost of Maldives or Bali.

Why Nepal for Your Honeymoon

Pokhara Lakeside Base

Nepal's most romantic city — boutique lakeside hotels, sunset cocktails over Phewa Lake, rooftop dining with Annapurna views. 5 minutes from everything.

Private Helicopter Sunrise

A private helicopter charter at dawn to circle Everest or Annapurna before the clouds rise. The single most memorable 90 minutes either of you will ever have.

Gentle Mountain Walks

You don't need to be an athlete. The Poon Hill trek (5 days, Easy) is Nepal's most walked route — stone-paved paths, cosy teahouses, and the world's best mountain sunrise.

Kathmandu Heritage

Explore ancient Newari courtyards, incense-filled temples, and craft bazaars together. Bhaktapur at golden hour is unlike anywhere else in the world.

Spa & Wellness Add-On

Pokhara has excellent traditional Ayurvedic spa treatments and reflexology. We can arrange a private couples massage at a top hotel after a trek day.

Custom Private Itinerary

Every element designed for two — private transfers, private guide, private room bookings. No group buses, no shared schedules, no strangers at your table.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Nepal a good honeymoon destination?

Nepal is exceptional for honeymooners who want something more unique than beach resorts. The combination of dramatic mountain scenery, ancient temple cities, gentle trekking, and luxury helicopter experiences at a fraction of European or Maldives prices makes it ideal. Phewa Lake in Pokhara, Bhaktapur's medieval streets, and a private Everest sunrise helicopter are all experiences that will genuinely surprise and delight.

What is the best Nepal honeymoon package?

Our most popular honeymoon itinerary: 2 nights Kathmandu (heritage tour, Pashupatinath, Bhaktapur) → fly to Pokhara → 5-day Poon Hill trek (Easy, stunning mountain scenery) → 2 nights lakeside Pokhara with hot air balloon at dawn → Annapurna Base Camp helicopter tour → return to Kathmandu. 12 days, everything arranged privately, from $1,800 per couple.

Do I need to be fit to do a Nepal honeymoon trek?

Not at all. The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek (our top recommendation) is graded Easy — stone-paved paths, gentle ascents, and comfortable teahouses at each stop. If either of you has never hiked before, you will be fine. Walking time is 4–5 hours per day with no technical terrain. For those who prefer no trekking at all, we offer a Pokhara-based itinerary with boat rides, helicopter flights, and cultural tours that involves no mountain walking.

What is the best time for a Nepal honeymoon?

October–November is the prime season: crystal-clear skies, warm days at lower elevation, post-monsoon green valleys, and peak mountain visibility. March–April is equally beautiful with rhododendron blooms on the Poon Hill route. Avoid June–September (monsoon). February can be cold but offers very low-crowd trekking and Valentine's-season availability.

How much does a Nepal honeymoon cost?

A 10-day Nepal honeymoon for two people with private guide and mid-range hotel accommodation typically costs $1,500–$2,500 all-in (excluding international flights). Add a helicopter tour ($1,400–$2,800) for the Everest or Annapurna sunrise experience. Nepal remains one of the world's best-value honeymoon destinations. We can design a custom itinerary for any budget.
