What is the best time of year for a Nepal honeymoon?

October–November and February–April are the two prime windows. Autumn (Oct–Nov) brings the clearest skies, dry trails, and the most reliable hot-air balloon and helicopter weather — the peaks are snow-capped but the days are warm and sunny. Spring (Feb–Apr) adds the rhododendron bloom on the Ghorepani trail, turning the forest pink and red. December and January are colder but possible — prices drop and crowds thin. The monsoon months (June–September) are not recommended for this itinerary because balloon flights are cancelled during heavy rain and cloud frequently obscures mountain views.

Is the trekking suitable if we are not experienced hikers?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The three trek days (Days 5–7) follow the most walked trail in Nepal — the Ghorepani–Poon Hill loop. No technical skill or previous trekking experience is required. Day 5 involves a sustained stone-stepped climb of about 4–5 hours that most fit people handle comfortably; Days 6 and 7 are gentler. Your porter carries all main luggage; you carry only a light day pack. If you have any concerns about fitness, let us know when booking and we can adjust the pace, add an extra rest day, or arrange a jeep for part of the route.

What is the hot air balloon experience like — is it safe?

Accepted Answer

The balloon flight over Pokhara is operated by a licensed Nepali aviation company with CAAB (Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal) certification and an excellent safety record. Flights are a shared basket (typically 8–12 passengers) or private charter, lifting off at dawn for approximately 60 minutes at 900–1,500m above the valley. The views of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges are extraordinary. Flights are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled by up to one day; if weather makes flight impossible during your stay, a full refund of the balloon component is provided. There are no known medical contraindications beyond those applying to any balloon flight (pregnancy, recent surgery, severe cardiac conditions — ask your doctor if unsure).

Can we upgrade to 5-star hotels for the full package?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The standard package uses carefully selected 3–4 star boutique hotels — characterful properties with great locations rather than large international chains. For couples who want luxury upgrades, we can arrange 5-star properties in both Kathmandu (Dwarika's, Hyatt Regency, Marriott) and Pokhara (Pavilions Himalayas, Temple Tree Resort). Teahouse nights on the trek remain best-available (there are no 5-star options on trail, but we book the cleanest, most comfortable rooms in the best lodges at each stop). Please request the luxury upgrade at booking — it adds approximately $400–$600 per person depending on season and availability.

How far in advance should we book the Nepal honeymoon package?

Accepted Answer

We recommend booking at least 8–12 weeks in advance, especially for October–November departures when Pokhara is at its busiest and boutique hotels sell out quickly. The hot air balloon company allocates slots months ahead for peak season. If you are planning a spring departure (March–April) the rhododendron bloom period — roughly mid-March to mid-April — also books up fast. That said, we can often accommodate last-minute bookings (2–4 weeks out) in the shoulder months. Contact us directly for current availability. A 30% deposit secures your dates; the balance is due 4 weeks before departure.

Can the Annapurna Base Camp helicopter tour be added after booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes — the ABC helicopter sunrise flight is an optional upgrade bookable at any point up to 72 hours before the scheduled flight date, subject to aircraft availability and weather conditions. Adding it raises the per-person price from $1,680 to $2,280 (a $600 pp supplement covering a shared helicopter charter from Pokhara, landing at ABC at 4,130m, and the return flight with a scenic loop). Private helicopter charters (just the two of you) are also available at a higher supplement — ask us for a quote. Note that helicopter flights in Nepal are weather-dependent; if the flight cannot operate on the scheduled day we attempt to reschedule within your itinerary. If no suitable window exists, the supplement is fully refunded.
