Day-by-Day Itinerary(1 days)
The World Peace Pagoda Hike is Pokhara's finest half-day walk — a forest trail that climbs from the Phewa Lake boat crossing (included) to the brilliant-white Japanese-built stupa on the hilltop above the south shore. The pagoda itself sits at 1,110 m; the terrace delivers a panoramic view across Phewa Lake to the Annapurna range and Machapuchare from a vantage point that shows the full scale of the mountain wall rising above the valley. The walk is 2–3 hours round trip through forest; the boat crossing adds an aquatic dimension to what would otherwise be a straightforward hill walk.
The route is Pokhara's most photogenic combination of water, forest, and mountain views — done in a morning, with time for lakeside lunch on the return. Appropriate for any fitness level.
Best time: Early morning for the mountain views before afternoon haze. Duration: Half day (3–4 hours total). Boat crossing: Both ways included.

I had one afternoon free in Pokhara and almost spent it at the lakeside. Our guide Bikash convinced me otherwise. The moment the jungle opened onto the pagoda terrace and Fishtail appeared directly ahead of us at eye level — I actually gasped. A French colleague told me to do this hike and I owe her a bottle of wine.

Be ready to climb 480 steps (960 return trip)! There are many souvenirs shops along the way to the pagoda. However, all that climb is worth it after you reach the site. The view along the way is also spectacular! No video recording is allowed in both the outer and inner side of the pagoda. Once you reach the inner part, you need to take off your shoes. Admire the serenity around the place, you can literally hear the sound of nothing. Very peaceful. I heard lots of locals visit the pagoda early in the morning to meditate. Sunrise views will be unreal from this spot. Thankyou Guys for making this happen, me and my wife, we both are so happy.
